About Us

LAW-The Wyoming Paralegal Association ("LAW") was created to establish good fellowship among association members, NALA, and members of the legal community. LAW strives to encourage a high order of ethical and professional attainment. LAW promotes and encourages continuing education. LAW cooperates with bar associations.  LAW supports and carries out the programs, purposes, aims and goals of NALA.

LAW earned its affiliation with NALA-The Paralegal Association ("NALA") in 1990. NALA programs offered include Certified Paralegal Exam review programs and advance programs various areas including criminal litigation, discovery, family law, and trial practice.

Continuing with valuing education and development, LAW conducts affordable continuing legal assistant/paralegal education seminars semi-annually in various locations throughout the State of Wyoming. LAW also encourages its members to attend other educational programs available through the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association, the Wyoming State Bar and NALA.

LAW has adopted and is governed by the NALA Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility.

LAW-The Wyoming Paralegal Association recently changed its name from Legal Assistants of Wyoming.  LAW is registered with the Wyoming Secretary of State and operates under Bylaws adopted by its members.
